Hello!  My name is Haley Kline and I am so happy to be your child's music teacher.  I am passionate about creating a positive environment in the music room so students feel comfortable and encouraged to express themselves musically.

 

In music class, students will listen to songs and chants in a variety of tonalities and meters and will sing, dance, and play a wide variety of instruments.  They will also work hard to prepare for several performances throughout the school year and will feel the pride that comes with a job well done.

 

In the music room, I am always on the lookout for rock stars who exhibit leadership and follow the classroom expectations. A “Rock Star Award” is earned by embodying and demonstrating the following traits:

 

Make choices that help you and others learn and grow.

Use good manners.  Be nice!

Speak when the teacher allows it.

Involve yourself in activities.

Care for the music room instruments and materials.

 

Be sure to ask your child about the "Rock Star Award" and when earned, celebrate this accomplishment with them.

 

My Teaching Philosophy:

I will provide a secure, safe, and caring environment in the music room, where students can grow emotionally, intellectually, and socially.  I will strive to develop diverse and engaging ways to reach students to ensure that every child has the opportunity to appreciate and create music.
